For her fourth birthday, a close family friend gave Sophia Schults a wonderful Shetland pony (promptly named Creampuff). Like many un-equine-educated fathers of horse loving daughters, her father Ron had no idea what was in store. Sophia's Equine career had begun.
Our Story

It quickly became apparent to Ron that Sophia was committed to her riding and that excelling in the sport was her goal. Unfortunately, there weren’t any programs in the area that would provide the sort of training that Sophia required to achieve her goals. So, in 2010, Ron set out to develop a facility capable of supporting the elite level programming that he wished to bring to the Southwest Michigan area.
The resulting facility, Concord Ridge Equestrian Center, is located in St. Joseph on more than 100 beautiful acres neighbored by some of Michigan’s finest vineyards.
Many years spent involved with the local and national equestrian community evolved into the creation of this top notch facility. We take great pride in maintaining the finest riding and boarding facility in the region. Along with the place, the people involved are extraordinary. Excellence is second nature and it's seen in the care of the place, the horses and people.
